ONE-TIME DONATION
To date, 22 families have donated $1045 through the One-Time Donation program. Under this program, families who do not wish to participate in catalog fundraisers, book fairs, fun fairs and other PTO fundraisers can donate any amount they choose directly to PTO. One hundred percent of the donation goes directly into funding the activities and teacher philanthropy requests supported by PTO and families are off the hook from participating in fundraisers for the year. Families can participate at any time by writing a check to Winfield PTO and placing it in an envelope marked One-Time Donation and sending it in to either school office. Thank you to the families who have already participated. Check back soon to see a list of donors.
BOX TOPS CONTEST
PTO’s box tops coordinator, Kira Goodale, will be running a box tops for education contest the week of September 28-October 2. This year she will also be collecting Campbell’s Soup Labels during that week which will count in the totals for each classroom. The classroom with the most box tops and labels will win an ice-cream party and a Barnes and Noble gift certificate for their teacher. Parents can register at www.btfe.com to earn extra box tops for our school. Click this link for details:box tops contest info So start rounding up those box tops and Campbell’s Soup labels! Find out more about which labels to save by clicking here: Campell's Labels This is a great cost-free fundraiser which earned $880 for the PTO last year…those little 10 cent box tops really add up!
FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT
Join us for Family Movie Night on Friday, October 2, 2009. Doors will open at 6 PM for a 6:15 showing ofHotel For Dogs. Admission is free! (children must be accompanied by a supervising adult). Bring blankets or lawn chairs and plan to be set up and ready to watch the movie by 6:15. Kids ~ bring your favorite stuffed animal/dog for a pet parade before the movie begins. In addition to our traditional concessions of popcorn, candy, juice boxes, soft drinks & bottled water, "Puppy Chow" will be available for purchase. Concessions are sold at a nominal cost (just enough to cover the expenses of running a family fun night). Most families will find that $1 to 2 per child will buy plenty of treats. For more information about the movie click this link: Hotel for Dogs Review. If you would like to help with concessions, please call Lisa Marie Vogt at 871-5644 or Mary Anne Lustig at 690-2019.
