Winfield PTO is busy planning another year of fun activities. We will be meeting October 1 to review our teachers' and staff's philanthropy requests. October 10, our children who completed the summer reading goal will be heading off on a field trip to Enchanted Castle, compliments of PTO. Our first Family Night will be a movie night scheduled for October 12th. In the next couple of weeks, installation of our new bleachers in the Central School gym should begin. To support these and other activities, it is necessary to hold fundraisers. We offer a variety of ways to contribute to PTO, but we don't expect any family to participate in all of them. Choose the ones that are right for you and your budget. Below is some information about upcoming and ongoing fundraisers. Click on the blue links to go to websites with more details about these programs.
These are the fundraisers planned for the fall:
Sally Foster Catalog Sale (Details went home in the backpacks on October 5th)
Greenery Sales (Details went home in the backpacks on October 5th. Click here for an extra order form Download pto_greenery_form_2007__2_.pdf )

We have several ongoing fundraisers that parents and family members can participate in:
Market Day (proceeds support our Activities & Sports programs)

Campbell's Labels (Its more than just soup, now. Check the site for details.) While we don't run any contests on this one, if you send in your labels in a ziploc bag (or any other brand) with your child's name, grade and teacher listed, our coordinator will return it to your child with a small prize.
Kemp's Caps (Save caps from Kemp's Milk for the Nickels for Education Program)
Target Take Charge of Education Program (Link your Red Card or Target Visa to Winfield Schools and 1% of every dollar you spend goes to Winfield PTO.)
Dominick's Grocery Store (This is a new one. If you go to the escrip website and register your Dominick's Fresh Values Card, every time you shop at Dominick's and use your card a donation will be made to the school. This is an easy one--nothing extra to buy, nothing to save, just 5 minutes of your time.)
Tyson A+ Program (Save Project A+™ redemption labels from Tyson products. We earn 24¢ for each label saved. Check out www.tyson.com/projectaplus/labels for a complete list of products.)
Cook's Night Out (The 3rd Wednesday of each month, we make arrangements with a local restaurant to donate a percentage of purchases made by Winfield 34 families. Take a night off from the kitchen, bring the form from the school to the restaurant, and whether you get take out and go home, or eat in and enjoy some social time with other Winfield families, the school profits. Last year we averaged about $100 per month. Watch Tiger Prints and look for flyers to come home in the back pack announcing the restaurant of the month. And when you stop in, thank the managers and owners for supporting our school.)
Thank you for helping us do some wonderful things for the school.
