PTO's goal is to support the relationship between administration, staff, parents, children, and the community. We promote the school's educational programs and extra-curricular activities by organizing volunteer services and fundraising programs.

Blues Fest

Winfield Blues Fest

Winfield School PTO is hosting the Winfield Blues Fest on Saturday, March 6, 2010, at the American Legion at 570 S. Gary Ave. in Carol Stream from 7:00 – 11:00 PM. The $10 admission fee includes live music by bands Rob Russo & The Loose Screws and Deja Blue and snacks. A Silent Auction, Raffles, Spin the Wheel game and a cash bar are also available. This event is open to adults only.

Each ticket purchased in advance includes one free raffle ticket. Contact Patty Peletis at 630-752-1813 or dp5peletis86@comcast.net for more information or click  here to download an order form. Advance tickets will be held at the door. Contact Patti Weber at 630-871-1699 or pattisweber@comcast.net if you would like to donate to our silent auction or purchase ad space in the program. We still need parent volunteers. Click here to download a volunteer form.

All proceeds will benefit the almost 400 pre-K through 8th grade students who make up Winfield School District 34. PTO sponsors academic enrichment programs such as school assemblies and our summer reading incentive; we also provide community-building events like family fun nights and classroom parties. In the past, we have been able to make larger capital purchases including new bleachers and a scoreboard for the gym, fitness equipment and curtains for the stage. Last year our profits supported the Technology Capital Improvement Fund which allowed us to purchase computer enhancing equipment for our schools such as LCD opaque projectors, document cameras, and slates.

HALLOWEEN FUN FAIR

The Halloween Fun Fair was a huge success, raising $2689.01 for PTO and Winfield School. Thank you to all the parents, teachers, staff, children and community members who made this a fun night. A special thanks to Patti Weber for taking on the job of coordinating this event!

FALL CATALOG SALE AND GREENERY SALE

For our fall catalog sale we selected Mr. Z's as our supplier. We offered a variety of frozen foods through the Food Court Brochure and traditional high quality gift wrap and gifts from the Perfect Presents Brochure. Thank you to all our families who participated in this sale and helped us raise $2428.20. Special thanks to our coordinators, Lisa Kroehnke and Tammy Gloss.

Our Holiday Greenery Sale netted $941. Thank you to our families, community members and local businesses who helped our coordinators, Patty Peletis and Bogna Roxas make this another successful fundraiser for our PTO. And a special thank you to the Gavin family for the use of their front lawn as a staging area to unload and distribute the greenery!

ONE-TIME DONATION

To date, 22 families have donated $1045 through the One-Time Donation program. Under this program, families who do not wish to participate in catalog fundraisers, book fairs, fun fairs and other PTO fundraisers can donate any amount they choose directly to PTO. One hundred percent of the donation goes directly into funding the activities and teacher philanthropy requests supported by PTO and families are off the hook from participating in fundraisers for the year. Families can participate at any time by writing a check to Winfield PTO and placing it in an envelope marked One-Time Donation and sending it in to either school office. Thank you to the families who have already participated. Click here for a list of donors:  Donor List
